Mystery Town, if mainly because we need to promote diversity in our characters.
Age-wise, that is.
That doesn't mean we can't have insane boys in their late teens running about, but we can also have families and seven-year-olds and political corruption. Which I do recommend we incorporate if it is not within plot bounds already.
There's also a lot we can do with the concept as a whole, now that I think about it.
And does anyone else picture the entirety of the town in black and white with an ominous mist always hanging about?

Cuz the other ones are just less appealing, and an Asylum is suddenly striking me as hard to play when you hink about it.
Plus it seems cool. And I don't have character plots going through my mind as it is >.> C:<

My votes pretty much split up between Asylum and mystery town, cause wtf, they both just sound awesome xP
I voted for mystery town anyhow cause that's what the majorities going for here.
I did have the idea of a deserted island. Kinda like a bunch of people who's plane crashed on this island in the middle of nowhere. There could be cannibals, see? xD

I'm not liking asylum at all. Partly because none of our characters (except Xander, of course) are legitimately insane enough to end up in an asylum. Also, I don't like to think about asylums/group homes/etc because my sister (who is severely autistic) is almost done with high school and a transition program to a group home is distant on the horizon. So. Not feeling it.
I actually like the idea of a monarchy, mostly because I'm a reading a Tale of Two Cities and can see a French-style revolution happening because that's how we roll. But I'll vote mystery town, because it still sounds cool and is more likely.
That being said, I think a mystery town would be more mysterious if we leveled out the stereotypes a bit more. We seem to have a lot of punk/goth/scene kids, like more than real life.
As for deserted island, yeah I started one of those ages ago. Didn't work out amazingly.
For mystery town, I think it'd be cool to throw in another plot twist... like a Salem witch trials situation, with paranoia and random accusations. Only not something so antique (oh, a witch! How vintage!)

What I find interesting is how you're all automatically putting you Camp Longview characters into these role play ideas to see how they work.
I was planning on making all new characters for one of these, not reusing my old ones.
And yes, there will be a stereotype limit, if not ban. Mystery town involves everyone, if not most people to be creepy and eccentric. Scene kids will not work. Preps will not work. Goth, yes. Emo, not really. DIRT needs to take the creativity up a notch and break away from the clichés.
Plots for Mystery town involve murders, witch trials (because Galli had a good idea. =D ), odd illnesses, spooky night creature plots (Run of the mill vampires, werewolves, mermaids, ect. No Twilight shit though.) You get the idea.
Yes, by all means bring back the wacky, insane characters that we all love (Singe, Jay, Liam, ect.) Just tweak them if you need to, to fit the genre.
ahhh. So, if this is the final decision, who wants to make the board? 8D
